Dear all, We would like to update you that the order of Substrat 2 (“red soil”) is expected to arrive between September 14th and 25th. This is unfortunately much later than the initial estimates from the producer and supplier, but we are working together to receive the soil as soon as possible. We will also try to work with the producer and supplier much further in advance to ensure this does not happen again. The Gramoflor (“blue soil”) is still available if you need soil in the meantime. Our supplier has informed us that the product is temporarily out of stock, with an expected delivery time of 3–4 weeks. To help us manage the remaining stock, we kindly ask everyone to use the alternative Gramoflor whenever possible and reserve Substrat 2 for experiments that specifically require it. We currently have sufficient stock of Gramoflor available. For reference, I have attached the technical data sheets for both substrates. Substrat 2 has a higher base fertilization, while Gramoflor has lower nutrient and salt levels. To help us prioritize the remaining stock for experiments that specifically require Substrat 2, please let Paige, our Core Facility Technician, know as soon as possible if the alternative substrate is not suitable for your experiment.
