Dear all,

so far it seems like the thrips infection has not spread to other plants and everything is healthy. But to ensure that we are really free from any contamination I would like to clean the chamber nonetheless.

The plan now would be to do this in the week of 24th to 28th of February. Please empty the chamber by latest 21st of February! Do not move plants into other chambers, but harvest/trash all plants that are currently in chamber #21. Do not grow any new plants in the chamber.

If this time schedule would not work out for you, please contact me so we can find a solution. Also if you have any questions, always feel free to write to me.

Thank you all very much for your help and your thoughtfulness!

Best

Paula

Subject: [EXT] [Plants-user] Thrips in chamber #21

Dear all,

I hope you all had relaxing holidays and I wish you a happy new year!

Unfortunately, we found thrips on one plant in the shared longday chamber #21.

The tray was removed and so far, there are no traces that any of the other plants has been infected yet. Therefore, all other plants can stay in the chamber for now.

Chamber #21 is now a quarantine chamber, so please follow these rules:

We will precisely monitor all plants in the chamber and inform you how we will proceed. Please contact me directly if you have any plants that will not be harvested/trashed soon. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you all for the cooperation and I am very sorry for the inconvenience,

best

Paula
